Hard Times with Hard Water

While away at college, my father took the lil mrs. in for body work. All the dents were taken out, and she received a new paint job. Only now, after I was it, it still looks just as bad as before I washed it. Apparently the sprinklers are messed up and they have been soaking her every day. The hard water left marks that won't come off with washing it. I will have to resort to waxing her and hope that that removes the scars.

Wrong Car, Write Girl

I was sitting in the parking lot of a grocery store that day it was raining here this week, while my mother shopped. I see my car, but a nicer one, parkpretty close to where I am. Here tail fin is better. It was lower. Mine is high and in the way of my view; there are so many blind spots on my car. Then I noticed a cute young hispanic girl get out and go into the store. A few Beatles' songs later and I notice a figure walk behind my car and to the driver door. Is that my mom? Nope! It is the girl from the other red Celica. She tries the key, but it doesn't work. She becomes dazed and confused. She looks around. I tap on the window and point to her car. She looks at me like, what the hell are you doing in my car before realizing that it wasn't her car. I roll down my window, glad I have an excuse to talk to her, and say something which I do not recall at this time. She replies, "and I had to do it while someone was in the car." Sucks for her, but I'm glad she did. It was quite entertaining.

A Flat

As the title may suggest, I had a flat tire. A week or two ago, when I left school after lunch--I only have four periods--I get in my car and start driving, and I noticed that the tire was flat, real flat. I pull over and try to fix it. This did not work too well. That thing was on damn tight! Luckily, my neighbor is also a loser senior who parks in the pack of the school. Also luckily he saw me and pulled over next to me. After three of us gave it our best, even standing on the cursed thing, he just drove me home. After a nap, my dad came home and took me back to take it off. He barely got it off. But the trouble doesn't end here folks. OH no!

We finally take it in to be fixed, and no one can fix it because the rim is bent. Also, the rims are made for high profile tires, which cost much more than normal tires. We finally find someone who was willing to fix the rim for us, and had cheap high-profile tires to sell us. However, we still spent $400.

On a brighter side, once we were able to get my car smogg-tested, since we couldn't do it with the spare on, IT PASSED!

On the downside again, the weather stripping was falling off, but I think we may have it stuck in properly this time.

Before the Lil Mrs.

In the beginning of time, my brother bought himself a new car. His old car, The Red Bucket of Love, was left for me once I got my license. I only drove it once or twice while trying to learn how to drive stick. Then my mother found a great deal for a beautiful convertible sebring, and took it. She then left me Old Faithful, which I drove for a long time, over a year. I developed a great bond with this car, a '93 Toyota Corolla. It hung in there for me. For a few months it even sported some spinner hubcaps. She even passed its last smog test. But one dreadful day, just out side of Six Flags, I crashed it into a newborn truck. Its face was smashed in. The radiator cracked and had internal bleeding. I told her everything would be okay, but I knew it wouldn't be. She was too old, had too much mileage. It was not worth putting the money into her, so we had to let her go. We donated the body and parts to a car doctor, so he could make good use of what was left of her.
There was a period of morning, about a month. But my mother became tired of driving me to and from school everyday, and then to and from ROP later in the day. So she found me a car, a good car, and I liked it. It was a '91 Toyota Celica ST, red, with a removable face plate, and a 10 disc cd changer in the trunk. For $2600, she became my Lil Misses.
